Overview of Telecom Power Distribution System

 

Engineered specifically for telecom networks, communication infrastructures, and other mission-critical power applications, this telecom power distribution system delivers comprehensive circuit protection, robust surge suppression, and intelligent real-time monitoring. All these capabilities are housed within a compact 19‑inch rack‑mountable metal enclosure that maximizes valuable cabinet space. The system integrates a full complement of miniature circuit breakers (MCBs) to provide reliable overload and short‑circuit protection for each output branch. For transient voltage suppression, built‑in surge protective device (SPD) modules safeguard sensitive downstream equipment against lightning-induced surges and switching transients. Complementing the hardware is an integrated intelligent monitoring unit that continuously tracks system parameters—including branch current, bus voltage, and alarm status—enabling remote supervision and rapid fault diagnosis, thereby ensuring uninterrupted operation in even the most demanding environments.

 

The system is built around the MC2900, the latest‑generation DC power controller from the manufacturer. Powered by an ARM Cortex‑A8 CPU, with 256 MB of flash memory and 512 MB of SRAM, it runs on a Linux operating system that delivers both stability and flexibility. The MC2900 provides a robust, intuitive user interface that simplifies operation and monitoring. Beyond its core capabilities, the controller offers comprehensive management and supervision for a wide range of power assets—including rectifier modules, solar charge controllers, DC/DC converters, HVDC units, diesel generators, and both VRLA and lithium‑ion battery banks—making it a versatile brain for modern hybrid power systems.
